How to Cancel Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe is notorious for hiding their cancellation process and charging early termination fees of up to €80-100. This guide shows you every route — including the legal one.

⚠️ The early termination fee trap

If you're on an annual plan billed monthly, Adobe charges 50% of remaining months if you cancel early. To avoid this: cancel at the end of your annual period, or use the GDPR route below.

Method 1 — Cancel directly (standard)

  1. 1

    Go to Adobe Account

Open account.adobe.com in your browser and sign in with your Adobe ID.

  2. 2

    Open Plans & Payment

Click your profile icon (top right) → "Plans & Payment" → "Manage Plan".

  3. 3

    Click Cancel Plan

Find your active plan and click "Cancel Plan". Adobe will show you retention offers — click past all of them.

  4. 4

    Select a reason and confirm

Choose any reason from the dropdown. Confirm the cancellation. You'll receive an email confirmation.

Method 2 — GDPR Art. 17 legal demand

If Adobe refuses to cancel, charges you an early fee, or you simply can't find the cancellation option: under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), Adobe is legally required to process your cancellation and data deletion request within 30 days.

No response within 30 days? File a complaint with your national data protection authority (CNIL in France, ICO in the UK). Adobe will face sanctions.
