Air Serbia (IATA: JU) is Serbia's national carrier, based at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG). Because Serbia is not in the EU or EEA, EU261 only applies when your flight departed from a UK or EU airport — for example London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, or Vienna. Delays on the return leg (Belgrade → London) are not covered.

What qualifies for a claim?

•Flight departed from a UK or EU airport (e.g. LHR, CDG, AMS, FRA, VIE, DUS)
•Arrived at final destination 3 hours or more late
•Delay was NOT caused by extraordinary circumstances (severe weather, air traffic control strike, security threat, hidden manufacturing defect)
•You have a ticket confirming your booking (Air Serbia booking confirmation email)

Important:“Technical issues” and “operational problems” are NOT extraordinary circumstances. If Air Serbia cancels or delays citing technical problems, you can still claim.
