How to Cancel Grammarly Premium

Grammarly Premium renews monthly (~$29.95) or annually (~$144). You can cancel anytime — your custom dictionary, writing style profile, and document history are kept when you downgrade to the free tier.

Cancel on grammarly.com

    Go to grammarly.com and sign in

    Log in to your Grammarly account in a browser.

    Click your profile icon → Account

    In the top right, click your profile avatar. Select "Account" from the dropdown menu.

    Go to Subscription → Cancel subscription

    Click the "Subscription" tab. Find "Cancel subscription" and confirm you want to downgrade to Free.

Cancel on iOS or Android

iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Grammarly → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Grammarly → Cancel.

Only if you originally subscribed through the app store. Otherwise use the website.

Refund policy

Grammarly offers refunds within 30 days of an annual plan charge if requested by email. Monthly plan charges are generally non-refundable. Contact support@grammarly.com for refund requests.

GDPR route — if Grammarly keeps charging you

Grammarly processes EU user data and is bound by GDPR. If you cancelled but continue to be charged, send a formal Art. 17 erasure request. They must respond within 30 days.
