How to Cancel HelloFresh

HelloFresh auto-renews weekly and will try to keep you with discount offers during cancellation. Here's how to get through the flow and confirm your cancellation before the next charge.

⚠️ Important: timing matters

  • → Cancel at least 5 days before your next delivery to avoid being charged
  • → HelloFresh will offer to pause your plan — pause does not cancel billing
  • → You must click through multiple "save" offers to reach final cancellation

Method 1: Cancel online (recommended)

    Go to your HelloFresh account

    Log in at hellofresh.com (or .fr, .co.uk, .de depending on your country).

    Open Account Details

    Click your name or avatar (top right) → Account Details → Plan Settings.

    Click "Cancel Plan"

    Scroll down to find "Cancel Plan". HelloFresh may try to redirect you to a pause screen first — look for the cancel option instead.

    Decline all save offers

    They will offer: a discount, a free box, a longer pause. Click "Continue to cancel" at each step.

    Confirm cancellation

    Select a reason and click "Cancel my plan". You'll receive a confirmation email — keep it as proof.

Method 2: Cancel via HelloFresh chat support

Go to hellofresh.com/about/contact and open the live chat.

State clearly: "I want to permanently cancel my HelloFresh plan, not pause it."

Ask for a written confirmation email — important if they claim the cancellation didn't go through.

Method 3: GDPR Art. 17 — if HelloFresh doesn't respond

If you've cancelled and they're still charging you, or you can't access your account, send a formal GDPR erasure request to their DPO. They have 30 days to respond or face CNIL / ICO / BfDI enforcement.
