NordVPN auto-renews annually. You can cancel in the account dashboard in under 2 minutes. If you're within 30 days of purchase, you can also request a full refund.

Cancel auto-renewal (account dashboard)

Go to my.nordaccount.com
This is the NordVPN account portal. Log in with your NordVPN email and password.

Click "Billing" in the sidebar
You'll see your current plan, next renewal date, and payment method.

Click "Cancel Subscription"
Under your active plan, find the "Cancel Subscription" or "Cancel Auto-Renewal" option.

Confirm cancellation
Follow the prompts. NordVPN may offer a discount — decline if you want to fully cancel. You'll receive a confirmation email.

Request a refund (within 30 days)
NordVPN has a 30-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund:
- Go to support.nordvpn.com and open live chat
- State: "I want to cancel and request a refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee"
- The agent will process it — refund usually arrives in 5–10 business days
Note: the guarantee applies to direct purchases. Subscriptions via Apple App Store or Google Play follow Apple/Google refund policies instead.
GDPR route — if NordVPN doesn't respond
NordVPN processes EU user data and is bound by GDPR. If you can't cancel or get a refund, send a formal Art. 17 erasure request. They have 30 days to respond.
