How to Cancel Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($19.99/month), PC Game Pass ($11.99/month), and Console Game Pass ($14.99/month) all auto-renew. Cancelling turns off auto-renewal — you keep access until the end of the current paid period.

- → Full access continues until billing period ends
- → Games included in Game Pass are no longer playable after expiry

Cancel on Microsoft Account (recommended)

Sign in to account.microsoft.com
Go to account.microsoft.com in any browser and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Xbox/Game Pass.

Click "Services & subscriptions"
In the top navigation bar, click "Services & subscriptions" to see all your active Microsoft subscriptions.

Find Game Pass → Cancel
Find "Xbox Game Pass Ultimate" (or PC Game Pass / Console Game Pass) and click "Cancel". Follow the prompts and confirm the cancellation.

Cancel on Xbox console

Press Xbox button → Profile & system → Settings
From the home screen, press the Xbox button, go to "Profile & system" → "Settings".

Account → Subscriptions
Go to "Account" → "Subscriptions".

Select Game Pass → Manage → Cancel
Select your Game Pass subscription, press "Manage" → "Cancel subscription" and confirm.
Refund policy
Microsoft offers a refund if you haven't used the service since the charge. Contact Xbox Support within 30 days of the renewal date. EU users also have a 14-day cooling-off right for digital services not yet used.
💡 Game Pass via iPhone / Android
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through those stores. Go to App Store → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
GDPR route — if Microsoft keeps charging you
Microsoft Ireland Operations (EU controller) is bound by GDPR. If you cancelled but continue to be billed, send a formal Art. 17 erasure request.
