How to Cancel Slack Pro or Business+
Slack Pro ($8.75/user/month) and Business+ ($15/user/month) renew monthly or annually. You can downgrade to the free plan anytime — your workspace, members, and channels stay, but message history is limited to 90 days.

⚠️ Message history limit on free
After downgrading, only the last 90 days of messages are visible. Older messages are archived — they're not deleted, and they're restored if you upgrade again. Export your message history first if needed.

Sign in to your Slack workspace on the web
Go to [your-workspace].slack.com or slack.com and sign in as the workspace owner or billing admin.

Click workspace name → Settings & Administration → Billing
In the top-left, click your workspace name. Go to "Settings & administration" → "Billing".

Click "Downgrade to Free" → Confirm
On the Billing page, click "Downgrade to Free". Review the impact (90-day message limit, integration limit) and confirm the downgrade.

Refund policy
Annual Slack plans are eligible for a pro-rated refund for the unused months if you downgrade within 30 days of renewal. Contact Slack Support directly. Monthly plans are not refunded.
GDPR route — if Slack (Salesforce) keeps charging you
Slack (owned by Salesforce) processes EU user data and is bound by GDPR. If you downgraded but continue to be billed, send a formal Art. 17 erasure request.
